Theme: God forgives our sins.
To reinforce at home:
One way we live out Jesus’ message to love one another is in
forgiving others when they ask forgiveness. We explored our Christian call to forgive others. Forgiveness is something we
all need to experience. We teach our children to make up with
one another, to say, “I’m sorry.” Their actions cannot be sinful
or deliberate, but they know when they have hurt someone or
done something mean or wrong, and they need to know they
are forgiven. They also can learn to recognize that forgiving
others when they ask forgiveness is a way we live out Jesus’
command to love one another. It is hoped that the children can recognize how loved and forgiven they are, to explore our
Christian call to forgive one another, and to glimpse the perfectly
forgiving love of God.
Today we talked about what SIN is (doing something on purpose that you know is wrong). We stressed that God can forgive any sin if we are truly sorry. We also reinforced the idea that the cross is the symbol of Jesus and that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to save us.

Activities to do at home:
*Come to your parish celebration of the Stations of the Cross
*memorize John 3:16 “God loved the people of the world so much that he gave his only son.”
* Get in touch with a relative who you haven’t heard from in a while.
